About us
Neighbours feeding neighbours

How it started
[HOW THE PANTRY STARTED, IN THE FOUNDERS’ WORDS]
Today we’re open every week, with a delivery round, a weekend food bag for school kids, and a team of volunteers who keep it all running.
How we work
We don’t ask anyone to prove they need food. We let people choose their own groceries, like in a shop. And we take the food grocers can’t sell before it goes to waste.
- Saturday distribution. Fresh produce, dairy, bread and pantry staples, chosen like a small grocery store. Come once a week; nobody asks why.
- Home delivery. Volunteers bring a week of groceries to neighbours who are housebound, recovering or caring for someone.
- Weekend bags for kids. A bag of easy, kid-friendly food goes home from school every Friday with children who might otherwise go without.
